Hiddesser Volkslauf over 10 km !!

I´am really satisfied with my result today.
I ran the 10km in 49:21 minutes. But the highlight was my start.
After the first kilometer I had been on position 3 and this was a great feeling.
But then one after another runner overtook me and at the end I finished as number 30 of 71 starters. Next year I´´am going to start in Hiddessen again, because its a wonderful race. But now the preperation of the Berlin Marathon begins...

Next Race on June 3rd in Hiddesen

The next Race is the "Hiddeser Volkslauf" .
The race goes over 10km and I hope that I run above 50 minutes. Last year I was the first in my Agesection !!
Hopefully I can confirm the result of the last year.
We will see and after this race the preparation of The Berlin Marathon 2007 will start.
Now it is time to run, byeeeeeee.....

Hermannslauf 2007--- An Amazing Race

What an amazing race. It was the third time that I started at the "Hermannslauf" and I ran my fastest and best time. I finished in 3 hours, 05 minutes and 37 seconds.
7100 runners startet at 11 o´clock at "Hermannsdenkmal".
The race goes over 31.1 km and the weather was beautiful and very hot.
The audience beside the street was fantastic. My family waited for me at "Panzerbrücke" and I met them at kilometer 9.
After kilometer 25 I get a cramp in my right femoral but I didn´ stop and the cramp was over. The feeling at "Sparrenburg" is indiscribable because there is the end of the race and the most people stand there to support the runners.
Next year I want to run under 3 hours and I hope the dream comes true.
The next big event is " Berlin Marathon 2007". The training starts in a few weeks.
Now it is time to relax ...

Only 7 Days until "Hermannslauf"

There are only 7 Days until one of my biggest running events this year.
The "Hermannslauf" goes over a distance of 31,1 km and I love this race.
It starts in Detmold and finishes in Bielefeld. The route goes over big hills and deep valleys.
The audience beside the street is fantastic and over 7.000 runners starting next sunday at 11 o´clock.
Today was my last training day. I started in Oerlinhausen and ran 25 km.
On Wednesday I will train the last time. I hope that I finish with a time abpout 3 hours. Next Sunday I tell you about this big event and my feelings.

The Journey starts on 15th april 2007

Iám from Germany and 23 years old. This blog is about my journey to the New York Marathon 2008 or 2009 !! I write this blog in english because so I can practise this language and more Blogger can read this Blog.
My dream is to run the ING New York Marathon in 2008 or 2009.
